Let me tell you about a love story. There were two lovers, Pen and Paper, connected by heated passion from the hands of their wielder. Together they bore fruits, one art piece at a time. At least that was what the infant eyes of the creator deemed it.

They will come to face the jealousy of onlookers at the beauty their union created. And so, the enviers devised means to get them separated. They will tell their creator; the Wielder that they were fashioned imperfectly, they need to be reworked. And they almost succeeded.

The Wielder heard the envious cries and secretly replaced pen and paper with PC and Mouse. He wanted to perfect them before he showed the world his new and improved creation. But as he would come to find, there will never be perfect. Just improved versions.

Pen, paper, PC, and Mouse will later be joined by others. The Wielder became obsessed with what the onlookers said about his creation’s fruits. He sought attention and validation. And it almost broke him.

He would meet other creators who were Wielders in their own right. Through their eyes, he saw. Through their experience, he learned. And on their shoulders, he rode.

Although he hasn’t settled for once, his love for his creations withered the storms. I am the wielder. And this is a short story about my love for art.
